We stopped by the new Crab DuJour restaurant on Tunnel Road because we wanted to see what all of the rave was about. They have many locations up and down the east coast, and we have seen folks in Greenville SC, Atlanta GA, and Charlotte NC talk about how good it was. They are also getting ready to open locations in Raleigh NC, Hickory NC, and Tryon NC; so this is like a North Carolina takeover for their brand. It was kind of nostalgic going in the building because this was the old Applebee’s and before Asheville became a super foodie town, it was the place to be.
A Seafood Feast at Crab Du Jour in Asheville
Lulu was our waitress at Crab DuJour Asheville and she was so helpful as it was our first time visiting this restaurant. She greeted us, wrote her name on the table, and told us to scream it out if we needed anything.
We were hungry, so we started with the cocktail shrimp which was served on rice. So good!
Next up was the seafood bisque. Yum. We will definitely eat it again, and again!
We chose the Dungeness crab and it was soooooo delish, but they have so many choices that we actually got stuck for 15 minutes before we could finalize our decision. The main course came out, in a bag, full of crab, corn on the cob, potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and everything was doused in garlic butter sauce. Wow! We emptied it on our plate and ate away. Can’t wait to visit Crab Du Jour again. Thank you!
