Brooklyn Motorcycle Club Makes Roots in West Asheville

Legion of Doom MC Expands Its Presence in the Mountains

There’s a rumble rolling through West Asheville — and if you’ve been near Haywood Road, you may have heard it.

Legion of Doom Motorcycle Club (LOD MC) — one of the nation’s largest and most recognized sport bike motorcycle clubs, established in 2013, continues putting down roots in Asheville while expanding across Western North Carolina. And judging by the energy at their recent open house at club headquarters in West Asheville, they’re just getting started.

A Club With National Reach — and Local Momentum

What started as part of a larger brotherhood stretching from New York to Florida, North Carolina to California, has grown into a major presence in the motorcycle community. Known for its strong sport bike culture, community ties, plus unmistakable identity, LOD MC has built a reputation as a club for serious riders — and also for welcoming those who want to be part of something bigger.

Their Asheville chapter has been around for years, but 2026 appears to be a growth year.

And they’re making that clear:

Open invitation. Open throttle. Open road.

Not Just a Club — A Culture

While street bikes and sport bikes are at the heart of the club, the message from members is clear — all motorcycles are welcome… you just have to keep up. 😎🏍️

That blend of camaraderie, speed, and shared road culture is part of what makes Asheville such a natural fit. This has always been a motorcycle town, from the Blue Ridge Parkway to winding mountain backroads, and groups like LOD continue adding to that legacy.

For those who stopped by the recent open house, the vibe might have seemed less “exclusive motorcycle club” and more community gathering with horsepower.

Why Asheville Makes Sense

West Asheville has long attracted builders, creators, outsiders, and people carving their own path — which, honestly, sounds a lot like motorcycle culture.

With Asheville’s riding scene continuing to grow, and WNC offering some of the best roads in the Southeast, it’s no surprise clubs like Legion of Doom are expanding here.

And this isn’t just about weekend rides.

It’s about brotherhood. Visibility. Community. And building something that lasts.

Growing in 2026

From what we’re hearing, the Asheville chapter is actively looking to grow in 2026 and encouraging riders to connect, ride out, and see what they’re about.

Whether you’ve been riding for decades or just looking for your people, this may be one of the more interesting grassroots communities growing in Asheville right now.

As they like to say:

Coming to a city near you.

Looks like Asheville is already there.
