Located in the heart of the River Arts District, ButterPunk is much more than just a biscuit spot. Yes, the biscuits are incredible (and absolutely worth the trip), but come hungry because there’s so much more on the menu. There’s something special about this place, too. ButterPunk opened inside a building that was devastated by the floods years ago, making them part of the ongoing comeback story of the River Arts District. And what a comeback it is. This place has become a destination all its own.
We had the pleasure of meeting Beth, the heart and soul behind the operation, and it’s easy to see why ButterPunk has become such a beloved addition to Asheville’s food scene. The staff was friendly, helpful, and just plain fun to be around. The atmosphere? Pure ButterPunk cool. They’ve created a brand and an experience that feels uniquely Asheville, and we’re hoping this is just the beginning of bigger things to come.
