10 Places To Eat In Johnson City Tennessee

Johnson City Tennessee has plenty of great places to eat. From tacos to steak to cupcakes and so much more. Now if you are not familiar with Johnson City TN, it is about one hour west of Asheville North Carolina, just a hop, skip, and a jump over the mountain, and you are so there! So if you are looking for a great foodie trip, or weekend getaway, or a family vacation; Johnson City has plenty to offer. Our team has already collected an array of photos, videos, and experiences in the area, so we will go over a lot more things to do soon; but first… let’s eat!!!

The first foodie stop we want to introduce you to Daylight Donuts. This is a locally owned shop that has such a yummy donut variety to choose from. In addition to that, they serve breakfast all day and they are open from 6am-6pm Monday through Saturday.

A restaurant called Label is next on our list. This place has so many delicious options on their menu that is is hard to pick sometimes. They have their own Great Oak Brewing craft beer taps as well as several guest taps, wine, and a full bar.

Next up is a restaurant called Juan Siao which serves Asian-Mexican fusion eats in downtown Johnson City Tennessee. Everything is so tasty here… from their vegetable fried rice, shrimp & pork dumplings, Ramen noodle bowls, yum yum yum!

Here’s White Duck Taco Shop, a restaurant that started in Asheville North Carolina and then expanded to Downtown Johnson City Tennessee. They have lots of taco choices including a Crispy Chicken BLT, Korean Beef, Duck w/ Mole, Fish to name a few.

If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Johnson City Tennessee, The Roots is the place to be! Delicious Pho, rice and noodle dishes, and Banh Mi of course.

Thinking about Turkish and Mediterranean eats including pizza in Johnson City TN? Well Red Meze is right downtown and has some of the tastiest med cuisine in eastern Tennessee.

It just wouldn’t be the south without some barbecue and Southern Craft BBQ is the place to get it around here. This place is so good that they have expanded from here in Johnson City TN to Bristol Virginia, Hampton TN, and soon to be in Greeneville Tennessee.

If you are looking for a restaurant, brewery, and rooftop bar; Watauga Brewing Company is your place. For a brewery, the menu options are quite impressive with everything from starters to full dinner plates.

Dessert is definitely recommended and Cakebuds Bakery is where to find it! They have been featured on the Food Network for their delicious eats which include cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, ice cream and so many yummy sweets that you will quickly be hooked.

Of course we have to mention good ole Pal’s as they have always been there for us, early mornings, late nights, rain, snow, sleet, and shine; they will never leave us hungry. Thank you buddy!
