In Waynesville, We Mind Our Own Biscuits & Life Is Gravy

Every time we checked out Waynesville North Carolina over the years, The Buttered Biscuit had always been on our radar, but this is actually the first time we got to go. It is actually right up the road from Lake Junaluska, and about 6 minutes from downtown Waynesville.

When we first sat down, I looked up and saw this encouraging sign… “Mind Your Own Biscuits & Life Will Be Gravy”. The first thing I thought about was biscuits & gravy, because I was pretty hungry after celebrating in Clyde the night before. But then I thought about live and let live, how people are different, and that we need to focus on ourselves, our families, and then come together if we are to build a better community in Waynesville, Asheville, or wherever.

My deep thoughts were soon overcome by this plate full of biscuits & gravy & hashbrowns. My side plate was two eggs over medium, with some city ham. This was an amazing breakfast. The biscuit consistency is so rich & doughy, just perfection all around when it comes to biscuits & gravy. Plus, there was gravy running off of my plate. I couldn’t have asked for more.

And somebody wanted a waffle with strawberries & whipped cream for dessert! Win win all around here. Sometimes there is a wait, but it will be well worth it. Visiting Waynesville and Western NC? Put The Buttered Biscuit on your list of places to eat!
