We didn’t have much water after the flood… and for Asheville, that meant no beer either. The taps went dry. The music quieted. The streets slowed. For a community built on creativity, camaraderie, and craft brews, it was a sobering moment.

But then — drip, drip, drip — little by little, the breweries began to reopen. At first, only for a few hours on certain days. Then, finally, wide open again! That first pint after weeks of stillness wasn’t just a drink — it was a sign of hope.

We’ve been doing brewery tours in Asheville for years, along with distillery tours and other unique adventures. One of our favorite spots to explore is the South Slope of downtown Asheville. Years ago, this area was deserted, shady, even a bit scary. Now? It’s alive, buzzing, and brimming with energy — even more so after the storms.
Sure, we can lead West Asheville beer crawls and other tours across the city, but South Slope features the brewery district and holds a special place in our hearts. It’s not just about the beer — it’s about the people, the stories, the transformation. A brewery tour here means discovering hidden murals, meeting brewers who pour their passion into every batch, and hearing the hum of a city that refuses to be knocked down.

After the floods, we adapted — hosting beer tastings in our private chapel space just to keep the spirit alive. But now? We’re back on the streets, glasses in hand, walking alongside guests and friends through Asheville’s brewery corridors.
Our latest South Slope tour was unforgettable — with amazing visitors from New York who jumped right into the local scene, plus new friends we met along the way. Between the beers, the conversations, and the laughter, we weren’t just tasting — we were toasting to resilience.

The revival isn’t limited to Asheville’s city limits. Surrounding communities like Hendersonville, Weaverville, Waynesville, and Black Mountain are brewing their own magic. Each offers a different vibe — from a bustling downtown Main Street experience to a laid-back country brewery where goats roam the grounds.
Wherever we go, we take more than just a tour — we create an experience: craft beer, local stories, plenty of photos, and memories that last far longer than the foam in your glass.
